I did a class presentation today on understanding Malaysian workforce by studying the influence of ethnic values in the workforce. I thought it was a boring topic. However, Prof. Lim leaded the class into a very interesting discussion. The conclusion that we draw is that there isn't much different in culture between countries, but there is a rising gap in the culture between generations. Young people nowadays are trying to break away from the traditional culture.

The strategy class is coming to an end. Kinda sad because I really like this class. Whoever has 3 credits to spare and interested in business in SE Asia, I would advise you to take CSIB 584. I bet this class will open your eyes in doing business in SE Asia, and influence you to be more entrepreneurial.

Next week is the thanksgiving week. I am looking forward to it. Going to have thanksgiving lunch with Peter's aunt, and thanksgiving dinner with the Indos. Peter is coming to visit next week. That means I have to clean and tidy up my apartment. Oh well, it is time for me to clean up my lair.

my bodyclock is going totally haywire. I always sleep between 8 pm to 12 am, and then I am so fully darn awake till 4-5 am. Man, I want to sleep at normal sleeping hours!!! Hope I can change my biorhythm next week.

I am going back to Spore in 23 days...and counting down. I am so excited to go back, to meet with my friends in spore. Need to do a lot of catching up. I am excited to see my family too, get to celebrate new year with them:)

Today was a busy day for me. I had to wake up by 7.15 am. I had to organize and play in the badminton tournament. Again, partnering Rena, we reach final. I requested the final to be postponed because I had to rush to my badminton friend's wedding in Canton (a Japanese restaurant called Sanpei). The food is excellent. The food is 100% seafood. Man, I think I created a new record on seafood consumption in one afternoon. The wedding party lasted till 4 pm. After that. we gathered at Helen's place to watch the video taken by Klauss in the morning. Watching Koh pleading on the knees to get access to his wife was a hilarious one. Luckily, the Indonesian chinese doesn't practise that kinda thing. After watching the video, we ate the leftover seafood from the afternoon party. After that, we had a relaxing Q&A. Some questions, like how many worms will make you feel even more disgusted than seeing a worm, or 2 worms, or even 3 worms in an apple?

I have to go to Willy's place later to give Erwin a surprise birthday party. Tomorrow is his birthday. What a tiring day. I will have a meeting tomorrow at Great Lakes restaurant with my business groupmates....and play badminton again in the evening.
I should start working on my powerpoint presentation...have to present a boring topic on Malaysian human resource management on Wednesday. Well, I can't imagine what will happen if I start a business. My schedule during my university studies is so packed already, what will I get if I start a business...Probably I won't get enough sleep everyday by then.
Alrighty, nothing interesting....later!

I had 3 meetings today...Well, it is not unusual to have so many meetings on Friday since I become the GSRA. Research work is like walking in a dark maze, you never know when you will find the exit. You just have to keep walking, trying to walk in the correct direction, remembering your previous unsuccessful paths.

Friday is also a badminton day. I always play badminton in the evening. Sounds pathetic, rite? Well, that is the life of a bachelor. I am not sure whether I should continue playing badminton on Friday. Well, I am only 23 now...so, I am not that old yet. Also, it is very hard for me to get a girlfriend, seems like no girl interested in me currently. Oh well, being a bachelor is not that bad too. We will see...

I watched 2 old couples playing badminton today. They are in their seventies already. When they bent down to pick up the shuttle, they had to do it really slowly....like the time when I got a really bad backpain. It reminded me about time flying so fast. I can't believe I am 23 yrs old already. I have been away from my parents for 7 years. Those thoughts made me feel really old. Well, I am kinda weird...at first, i mentioned I am still young, but right now, i feel old. Always like to contradict my own thought.

I am going to play in a small badminton tournament tomorrow, partnering Rena. I am the organizer. I think I can reach final. The problem is that I have to leave by 10 am for my friend's wedding. He is my badminton friend, just gotta know him over the summer. He is Malaysian and marrying a Japanese girl. I always tell myself to look out for Indonesian or Malaysian or Singaporean girl, so that my parents will not have difficulties communicating with my wife. But I guess I will leave it to destiny. As long as the girl is Asian, I am fine. I think my blog is getting boring...should end here.

I don't know why I signed up for blogging today. Probably becos I am too stressed up this week. Has been a tough week for me. On Monday, I had a chance to meet and dine with Rudi Pesik, the chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. On Wednesday, I met and had dinner with Jim Castle, former chairman of American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia. Both of them gave interesting talk before dinner.

The weather in Ann Arbor is getting colder. Winter has come. It was snowing in the morning and afternoon. After going through 3 winters, first day of snow doesn't make any difference to me anymore.

Oh ya, about my stress...Why I am so stressed up this week? Well, I guess I am too slack lately. It is time for me to get back to my assignments. I have to be prepared for a lot of meetings tomorrow. I wonder if I should be a corporate guy in the future. I don't like meetings. I think I will be better off as an entrepreneur, I will get to decide to call for meetings when necessary:)
